About The Position

This position will advise undergraduate and graduate students in the IDM program on academic matters. Support all aspects of the department’s credited internship programs and capstone courses (undergraduate and graduate). Develop and deliver student services and special events, seminars, and workshops to meet the career development needs of students in the IDM (Integrated Design & Media) program, both undergraduate and graduate. Manage alumni relations and engagement for the department. This position will actively engage relevant companies to grow the department’s visibility across industries. Through the outreach to other organizations, incubators, companies, and alumni, cultivate new corporate leads and partnerships to promote and support the department’s academic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in art/design, related to IDM
  • 3+ years experience in academic advising, career advising, or counseling students at the college or university level or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver special events and seminars.
  • Google Workspace.

  • Master's Degree in art/design - field related to IDM
  • 3+ years Experience with academic programs at the University level
