About The Position
Advisors assist students with referrals to other units at UGA, including tutoring services and other forms of academic assistance. Advisors are expected to have full knowledge of resources that support students in areas other than their academic life and to refer students to appropriate individuals and offices as needed. This position includes advising a combined roster averaging between 250-300 students, depending on the needs of the office. The ability to advise across all Grady College majors involves ongoing cross-training and liaison work with the Advertising and Public Relations, Journalism, and Entertainment and Media Studies Departments.
