Laurel Springs School, a subsidiary of Spring Education Group, is seeking an experienced, student-centered Academic Advisor to support families through every stage of the enrollment journey in our online learning environment. The Academic Advisor works as part of the Enrollment Team to support students, acting as the point person for a student's enrollment and responsible for monitoring student academic pacing and progress in accordance with Laurel Springs' policies and expectations. This role requires proactive communication, strong customer service skills, and an understanding of student success strategies and family engagement in a virtual setting. The position is full-time, remote, and requires availability during business hours (Eastern Time).

  • Collect and/or review records and transcripts of incoming students to assist with the creation of accurate and complete course schedules for admission.
  • Develop initial course schedules and/or assist LSS counselors with developing initial course schedules.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with students and parents/guardians through meaningful, personalized, frequent communications.
  • Actively troubleshoot and assist students and families with challenges encountered during enrollment and/or re-enrollment.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure students receive the highest level of support.
  • Engage in weekly collaboration sessions with academic teams, student support teams, and counselors.
  • Process schedule changes and extensions throughout enrollment.
  • Participate collaboratively and professionally in school-wide meetings, events, communications, and activities.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and staff.
  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in an academic setting supporting students.
  • Excellent skills with word processing, productivity, communication, and educational technology tools.
  • Strong analytical, interpretive, evaluative, and constructive thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Access to dependable and high-quality internet and a quiet work space.
  • Expertise with G-Suite, Learning Management Systems, and Student Information Systems strongly preferred.
  • Full-time, year-round salaried position.
  • Potential for more than 40 hours a week.
