PURPOSE Academic Advisor I This position under general supervision reports to the Senior Academic Advisor, advises undergraduate students concerning the academic requirements for their chosen program. This position is responsible for assisting with course selection, registration process, and major selection. This position provides information on and refers students to University resources that can assist in meeting their needs or solving problems; communicates accurate and timely information and interprets institutional, core, and major requirements. This position will play a vital role in maximizing student retention by building relationships with students. Academic Advisor II This position under general supervision, advises students concerning the academic requirements for their chosen program and reports directly to the Senior Academic Advisor. This position is responsible for assisting students with course selection, registration process, and major selection. This position provides information on and refers students to university resources that can assist in meeting their needs or solving problems; communicates accurate and timely information and interprets institutional, core, and major requirements. May supervise projects.
