About The Position

The Academic Advisor will advise students in the Biomedical Engineering (BME) department on academic programs, policies and procedures, transfer credits, students on probation, and will make recommendations when appropriate. The Academic Advisor will also assist the coordinator of academic advising in related duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• 2+ years Experience in student advising, supervision or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to advise and provide solutions to problems

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Higher Education, or other appropriate field
• 2+ years Experience advising students at the college or university level, preferably in computer science
• Knowledge of standard office software
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
