The C. T. Bauer College of Business is looking for either an Academic Advisor 1 or Academic Advisor 2 for their Accounting Certificate Program AA1: Provides information and advice to enrolled and prospective students regarding the academic programs offered by the University or a specific department, including requirements for admission and retention through graduation. AA2: Provides information to and advises both enrolled and prospective students regarding the academic programs offered by the University or a specific department, including requirements for admission and retention through graduation; may coordinate the work of entry level academic advisors. This position works in the Department of Accountancy & Taxation at the C. T. Bauer College of Business. This position engages with students to advise them on academic requirements for degree progress, course selection, policies, procedures, and resources based on an assessment of individual student needs. Successful candidates will have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, work well under pressure, consistently meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects while remaining flexible and positive. This will require exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Further, successful candidates will effectively communicate with all levels of management and fellow employees and be able to manage multiple employer relationships. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm with the potential for certain days to be adjusted (e.g., 9am-6pm or 7am-4pm). Occasional travel and special events may occur outside of the normal business working hours, including some Saturdays. As much advance notice as possible will be given.
