About The Position
The College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a driven and highly personable individual to join our Academic Advising team. We are hiring two academic advisors to serve as an essential guide for students embarking on and continuing their education in the College of Business. The Academic Advisor 1 works closely with, and under the direction of, higher level advisors to perform traditional advising to prospective, new, transfer, and continuing undergraduate students. The Academic Advisor 1 will learn core curriculum and major program requirements, participate in retention activities, and may be involved in recruitment events and other college specific special projects, as assigned. Advisors are expected to be an understanding, flexible, and patient resource for the students. In addition, ideal advisors must be willing to build a strong knowledge base in order to assist students in remaining on track in their college career.
