About The Position

The position involves assisting the Director of Academic Advising in supporting the Academic Advising team, developing policies and procedures, and advising students in select programs. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• A minimum of four years of related experience in higher education or a related industry.
• A minimum of two years of leadership experience or experience in managing processes.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with client database or Student Information Systems (SIS).
• Previous experience in advising and career assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Academic Advising in supporting colleagues and developing policies and procedures.
• Collaborate on campus-wide events and initiatives related to academic advising.
• Train, onboard, and develop team members in the Academic Advising department.
• Advise students in select programs on career exploration, academic abilities, and goal setting.
• Assist students with registration and graduation requirements, including course selection and financial aid processes.
• Make recommendations to divisional leadership regarding students' academic challenges.
• Gather and interpret data for retention and accountability reports.
• Develop and implement retention strategies to increase student success.
