Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operational and administrative functions of the II academic advising & curriculum unit.
  • Perform ad hoc research on best practices and emerging trends in International and Area Studies.
  • Provide higher level faculty and center support for curriculum development and program updates.
  • Oversee compliance with Provost's guidelines for course scheduling and administer curricular changes.
  • Develop and implement advising approaches based on student-centered and culturally-responsive values.
  • Provide daily functional supervision of the II Academic Advising & Curriculum subunit, including staff coaching and professional development.
  • Provide oversight for various academic budgets totaling approximately $200,000 annually.
  • Support the planning and execution of key events such as Campus Visit Days and Graduate Student Orientation.
