About The Position

A professional and loving family in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a full-time, full-charge career nanny for their bright 10-month-old daughter. The general schedule will be Monday through Thursday from 7/8am to 6:30pm and Friday from 8/9am to 3/4pm. Flexibility will be required. This is a long-term role ideal for someone interested in being instrumental to a child’s growth and development. Local candidates only, please.

Requirements

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
• Valid Passport – preferably US or not restricted use
• Prior experience in a similar role
• Pet-friendly (Family has 2 cats)
• Up-to-date vaccinations
• CPR and First Aid Certifications
• Valid driver’s license not required, but would be a plus
• Must be legal to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

• Fluency in another language is not required, but it would be a plus

Responsibilities

• All aspects of full-charge care, including feeding, bathing, diapering, and playtime
• Always ensuring the safety and well-being of the child
• Engage in age-appropriate developmental activities and outings
• Collaborate with family to develop and implement routines that support the baby’s developmental needs and adjust as the baby grows
• Follow the schedule provided by the family
• Child-related housekeeping, including laundry, organization, and sanitation of bottles
• Track, log, and assist the child with reaching milestones
• Provide a stimulating and nurturing environment – The child is very observant and intelligent
• Provide guidance as it pertains to the child’s care while respecting the family’s personal preferences (no screens)
• Schedule and take the child to/from play-dates and classes
• Research and stay in tune with local events for young children
• Travel with family as requested
• Travel prep, including pack/unpack

Benefits

• $40 to $45 per hour DOE
