The role involves working in a successful team environment and leading the arranging of complex structured credit transactions in a fast paced and competitive environment. You should have strong communication skills, be analytical, proficient in multi-tasking, self-starters and team players with an emphasis on developing and cultivating client relationships, as well as teamwork and collaboration. You will be a member of Deutsche Bank’s Alternatives team that is part of the broader ABS Primary franchise. The role focuses on leading the origination, structuring, syndication and execution of ABS new issue and asset finance transactions in the Alternatives sector. You will be responsible for all aspects of deal execution from client acquisition to documenting credit facilities, approving asset fundings, risk managing the credit facilities and structuring, marketing, and closing associated securitizations. In such role, you will interact with a wide variety of stakeholders and transaction participants, both internally and externally, requiring strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Requirements

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel – VBA/programming skills a plus, but not essential
  • Curious attitude with desire to dig deeper to develop a detailed understanding
  • Ability to project, and manage multiple transaction counterparties to meet deadlines, and the ability to multi-task while leading concurrent transactions
  • Anticipate needs: demonstrate initiative & pro-activeness with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to develop junior resources, and good quantitative skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead the acquisition and negotiation of credit facilities
  • Lead transaction approvals with investment committee and credit risk management
  • Monitoring and reporting on warehouse risk exposure
  • Obtaining internal transaction approvals from risk management functions, including credit, legal, regulatory, and accounting
  • Portfolio analysis
  • Cash flow scenario analysis
  • Reviewing and negotiating legal transaction documentation
  • Development of analytical modeling tools
  • Determining securitization capital structure tranching and optimization
  • Responding to investor due diligence requests
  • Liaising with rating agencies to obtain securitization tranche ratings
  • External representation of the franchise on industry panels and conferences
  • Facilitating closing settlement and execution
  • Performing market research and analytics
  • Leading the preparation of securitization marketing materials
  • Interact with a broad range of internal and external transaction participants, including internal and external legal counsel, ABS investors, secondary trading, sales, research, rating agencies, internal risk management functions, trustees, collateral administrators, corporate service providers and regulatory, tax and accounting professionals
  • Develop and cultivate a broad network of direct relationships with both issuers and investors across the wide spectrum of the team’s products
  • Leverage personal industry relationships to drive new deals
