Growing together. The Director of Therapy and Coaching Services plays an important role in promoting a safe and just clinical environment for our patients and providers. This role will have a heavy focus on the clinical and coaching programs and operations for AbleTo, which offers virtual therapy and coaching services. The Director of Therapy and Coaching Services will formally report up through the Chief Medical Officer of OBC. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

  • Manage a team of Directors, Clinical Managers, Program and Coach Advisors, and Assessment Coordinators who oversee the care provided by clinical and coach network
  • Actively engage in decisions that directly impact provider engagement; including but not limited to credentialing, compensation strategies, recruitment, onboarding & offboarding, and training
  • Direct and participate in the continuous improvement of network management, establishing and managing key performance indicators
  • Direct and engage in learning development programs and aligning activities to Optum Health Education accreditation standards
  • Collaborate with internal and external engagement teams to support the expansion of the services
  • Maintain and monitor departmental performance standards and reports; review and analyze weekly and monthly department performance reports; address performance issues and implement needed interventions and coaching of individual employee performance to meet and exceed production and quality metrics
  • Drive continuous improvement to enable the organization to scale efficiently and effectively in line with the organization's long-term strategy
  • Partner with Clinical Compliance Manager and Senior Clinical Director to maintain all accreditations (e.g., NCQA CVO, URAC Telehealth, ASWB ACE, ANCC, etc.)
  • Work with Clinical Compliance Manager and the Sr. Clinical Director to run and pass all client audits and meet all client contractual SLAs
  • Stay current and maintain a working knowledge/understanding of federal and state government requirements (e.g., regulatory guidelines, processes and protocols, program audit requirements) as well as accrediting body standards and ensuring that adequate in-service education is available to staff
  • Support the Enterprise Growth and Account Management team as a Clinical/Operations SME, participating in meetings and presentations with potential and established Clients, as requested
  • Act as a liaison with Product Development to ensure AbleTo's clinical platform effectively enables the provider network (process improvement and effective roll-outs of new products across the network), surface insights, and participate in development of new product features and software updates
  • Operationally support implementation of new programs, and strategically evaluate implications for network, technology platform, and support operations
  • Support quality and patient safety programs
  • Support and advise clinicians with acute or complex clinical concerns, with an 'open door' approach to consultation
  • Champion Quality Management programs: support implementation, participate in chart reviews, outcomes metrics, performance reviews, and other efforts to improve quality care
  • Champion Patient Safety by promoting Safety Culture, encouraging safety event reporting, providing a prompt response to requests for clinical review, and promoting clinical best practices by sharing Lessons Learned
  • Advocate for workforce safety by aiding implementation of best practice standards, supporting clinician and staff wellness, and raising concerns on behalf of staff
  • Participate in national initiatives at the request of the Chief Medical Officer
  • Hold active, full, unrestricted license to practice - social work (LCSW) or state equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior clinical operations role in a healthcare environment
  • Understanding of Medicare Advantage and Managed Medicaid regulations and guidance
  • Understanding of Accrediting body standards, such as URAC and/or NCQA
