About The Position

We are looking for caring and compassionate people who want to work in a 4-bed male group home setting with adults (over the age of 22) in the Leominster area. Residents working on treatment for IDD/ADS. In our community group home in Leominster individuals learn the skills needed for independent living and are encouraged to make meaningful life choices. Our goal is to support individuals to access the services they need, build community connections and to achieve the best quality of life possible. As a Ability Support Partner, you are a teacher - coaching and demonstrating skills to increase individual's independence, relationship builder - developing positive connections with individuals, their friends and families and their DDS service coordinators and an environmental manager - monitoring the safety and security of the home and community.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Active driver's license is required
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or Special Education preferred
  • Previous experience preferred (not required) working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders
  • Must be MAPS certified
