About The Position

To provide comprehensive support to individuals with barriers to employment by providing personalized, on-the-job coaching and guidance. This role ensures participants successfully integrate into competitive community employment settings while fostering independence and long-term success. This position reports to the Senior Director of Mission Services who evaluates performance annually. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or the ability to obtain through The Excel Center.
  • Prior work experience in a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and support individuals, with an understanding of the unique needs of people with disabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across diverse settings.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, manage schedules effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate documentation of participant activities and hours worked.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and provide proof of insurance to travel to different job sites.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and assessments of participant strengths, abilities, limitations, and employment barriers.
  • Coordinate and actively engage in discovery activities to identify vocational interests and opportunities.
  • Support participants during job site orientation and assist with completion of all required documentation.
  • Accurately document participant performance and workplace behaviors through detailed case notes.
  • Prepare and submit weekly timesheets for participants involved in Situational Assessments and Work Experience programs.
  • Advocate for participants and mediate employment-related concerns to promote successful job retention.
  • Communicate participant needs and progress updates to the Ability First team for timely intervention and support.
  • Maintain professionalism and deliver high-quality services in all interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with funding requirements by providing accurate billing information to Case Managers.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
