About The Position

To implement an intensive skill-based program that is grounded in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. This work is performed under the direct supervision of a Master’s level classroom teacher.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Previous special education experience preferred.
Strong desire to work with young children and willingness to learn.
Prior experience with the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure the safety of all students.
Provide direct educational services for the duration of the school day.
Incorporate specific educational objectives into the context of ongoing activities (if appropriate).
Create opportunities for generalization and maintenance of skills.
Collect data on targeted skills.
Communicate with classroom staff.
Maintain student records in a neat and orderly manner.
Maintain student-specific materials and reinforcers.
Communicate any student-specific concerns to the Classroom Teacher.
Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Classroom Teacher, Principal, or Chairperson.
Graph and sum student data.
Participate in school-based and/or classroom-based program meetings and training.
Collaborate with general educators and specialty service providers as needed for student success.
Assist with data preparation.
Complete informal assessments as directed by the classroom teacher.
