If so, consider joining our team as a Behavioral Technician or ABA Therapist. As a behavior technician you will make a strong, lasting, and positive impact on the lives of children every day. Behavior Technicians utilize and apply Applied Behavioral Analysis principles to clients with autism and related diagnoses in the home, community, and school settings. ABA therapy involves both psychological and educational techniques based on the needs of each client. The behavior technician seeks to motivate the client through positive reinforcement of socially acceptable behavior and teaching replacement strategies for challenging behavior. ABA therapy has shown to increase socialization, play, and language/communication skills while minimizing or eliminating challenging behavior. This position may require the behavior technician to intervene and decrease physically challenging behaviors such as aggression toward others and injury toward self. An ideal candidate will do so while upholding client dignity and communicating respectfully to and about the client. Center-based will help with transporting clients via RCG vehicle and must have a clean driving record.
