About The Position

As an ABA Technician at Pine Rest, you'll be part of a tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion. This position will assess patient care needs, implement treatment plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, continually reassess treatment plans according to patient care needs, and will implement behavior change procedures under the guidance of the Certified ABA Specialist. The ABA Technician must demonstrate excellent customer service, be able to manage stressful situations, work with others, have great organizational skills, and provide support and empathy as needed to children, adults, and families. Requirements

  • Registered Behavioral Technician Certification preferred.
  • Board Certified Assistant Behavioral Analyst (BCABA) certification preferred.
  • Knowledge through education or experience of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Understanding of the current therapy principles in area of expertise.
  • On-the-job training or formal education in the application of ABA program principles.
  • Graduate education in Psychology, Social Work, or other areas related to Mental or Physical Health are desired but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a positive working relationship with patients, parents, and all other family members.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with assigned patients and their families.
  • Function as a member of the treatment team.
  • Understand the principles of behaviorally based programming and design.
  • Sustain a working knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through training and educational opportunities available within Pine Rest or individually.
  • Utilize processes in place for measuring patient behaviors.
  • Implement ABA processes for behavior modification.
