About The Position

We provide full, paid training to help you become a qualified Behavior Technician, building your skills and confidence for a rewarding career, even if you have no prior experience. As a Behavior Technician, you will work directly with children and young teens with autism to help them build essential life skills, bringing patience, creativity, and joy to your sessions, which may take place in the clinic, in the home, or out in the community.

Requirements

  • Love working and playing with children.
  • Be kind, patient, and adaptable in a variety of situations.
  • Communicate well and thrive in a team environment.
  • Show responsibility and dependability in every aspect of their work.
  • Be open to feedback and excited to grow professionally.
  • Have flexible availability between 8:00 AM–6:30 PM, Monday through Friday (with one Saturday per month).
  • Be comfortable potentially working in-home and community settings.
  • Be comfortable working with technology, such as Google Workspace.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs and actively engage in play and movement.
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Ability to pass a background check and TB test.
  • Valid driver’s license or state ID.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience working with children, particularly in applied behavior analysis (ABA) or within the education field.
  • RBT certification or coursework in psychology, education, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing individualized treatment plans designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Using positive reinforcement and play-based teaching to help children learn new skills.
  • Collecting and tracking progress data with care and accuracy.
  • Collaborating with your supervisor and team to support each child’s goals.
  • Building trusting, respectful relationships with children, families, and teammates.
  • Completing session notes and other administrative tasks on time.
