About The Position

Developmental Pathways Inc. is looking for a skilled Behavior Technician Trainer to conduct in-office training for new and current Behavior Technicians (BTs). This role ensures that BTs adhere to ABA principles, ethical guidelines, and company standards. The position is based entirely at our Van Nuys clinic, and candidates must live in or near the San Fernando Valley, CA area.

Requirements

  • Location: Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to Van Nuys, CA, as this is an office-only position.
  • Education: High school diploma required
  • Experience: Prior experience as a Behavior Technician (BT), Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), or Trainer in ABA therapy.
  • Strong understanding of ABA principles and behavior intervention strategies.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office 365.
  • Highly punctual and professional.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Training & Onboarding: Lead onboarding sessions for new hires, covering policies, procedures, and expectations. Train BTs on ABA principles and ethical standards. Ensure BTs understand and apply the BT manual effectively.
  • Policy & Compliance: Review and update onboarding materials to ensure they align with company policies and industry regulations. Ensure adherence to HIPAA, safety protocols, and professional ethics. Conduct periodic refresher training for existing staff.
  • BT Manual Implementation: Update and maintain the BT manual according to best practices and company standards. Ensure all BTs understand and follow the manual’s guidelines.
  • Training Methods & Support: Utilize hands-on practice, role-playing, and case studies as training methods. Provide feedback, performance evaluations, and support to address skill gaps in BTs.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate training records and completion of onboarding checklists. Collect feedback on training effectiveness and report compliance issues to management.
