About The Position

Rack construction, preparing cable pathways, installation of network cabling Termination test and labeling of network, audio and video cable Uses Company approved installation methods and techniques Ensures all work compiles with company policies, procedures, and code standards Assures each system’s physical completeness is in accordance with installation drawings Maintain an on-going dialog with Shop and Project Manager, ensuring that work quality, performance, and materials meet required schedules and expectations The Lead Installation Technician is responsible for maintaining his assigned equipment inventory Perform duties relative to the job as assigned by management Maintain proper safety practices Maintain a valid driver’s license Must be insurable Must have experience using hand tools of the A/V and electronic related trades. This is inclusive of, but not limited to, wire strippers and crimpers for varying types of wire and cable, soldering tools/techniques, construct equipment such as scaffolding, hoists, pulleys, (concrete, brick & block) attachment devices, unistruct steel support, etc. Must be able to stand, kneel and crouch for long periods of time Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds Must be able to work in high places and in small cramped places Must be able to work in hot humid places as well as cold places Must be able to maintain the following attributes while under pressure from deadlines: technical capability, professionalism, self-motivation, self-discipline, focus and attention to detail Must be able to maintain a safety-minded approach to all activities Work sites vary from finished executive boardrooms to new construction sites. Majority of work is indoors, but site conditions vary drastically. Appropriate dress is required pursuant to the dress-code found within the Employee Handbook. Projects vary in length and locations. Occasionally, jobs may be outside of the local area requiring overnight travel and stays that could range from one night to several weeks away. Work hours will vary according to individual projects. Some jobs may require weekend commitments.

Requirements

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Must be insurable
  • Must have experience using hand tools of the A/V and electronic related trades. This is inclusive of, but not limited to, wire strippers and crimpers for varying types of wire and cable, soldering tools/techniques, construct equipment such as scaffolding, hoists, pulleys, (concrete, brick & block) attachment devices, unistruct steel support, etc.
  • Must be able to stand, kneel and crouch for long periods of time
