Information Technology Services at the University of Iowa is seeking two (2) A/V Installers/Programmers who will provide day-to-day configuration and support of technology in campus learning spaces and conference rooms, including third-tier end user support. Reporting directly to the IT Director of Physical Infrastructure, these roles will also perform a variety of service management functions, including the development of procedural service documentation (instructions on equipment installation and configuration, e.g.) and support documentation for end users. Key Job Duties (not all inclusive): · Independently configures A/V hardware including programming control systems, audio systems, switchers, etc. Independently installs and replaces A/V hardware. · Performs in-depth troubleshooting and support on hardware and software/firmware issues with A/V equipment. · Documents service support activities (incidents and requests), creates & updates existing service and support process documentation, and maintains accurate records of A/V equipment in IT assets. · Provides input on A/V technology in classrooms and other departmental meeting spaces. · Coordinates support with vendors as needed and assists users regularly with escalated trouble issues.
