About The Position

The Department of Physics in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Miami seeks applicants for one tenure-track faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of theoretical or computational biological physics to begin August 15, 2026. The department currently has three experimentalists, who work on a broad range of questions from neuroscience, behavior and biomechanics, in close collaboration with colleagues from the Department of Biology, the Rosenstiel School of Marine Science, and the Miller School of Medicine, and in conjunction with the Frost Institute for Data Science and Computing. The ideal candidate will be able to develop an internationally recognized interdisciplinary research program, teach undergraduate and graduate classes, and participate actively in the department, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the University. A Ph.D. in physics or a related field is required by the start date of the appointment. Interested applicants must apply online through the University's Career Website .
