Palladian Management’s Customer Accounts office in O’Fallon, IL is looking for an experienced Long Term Care Billing Specialist to join our amazing team! What You’ll Do (Your Superpowers in Action) As our Billing Specialist, you’ll make sure our residents’ accounts are accurate, up to date, and handled with care. Your day-to-day might include: Billing brilliance: Handle Medicare, Insurance, Managed Care, and Private Pay billing like a rock star. Investigate the mysteries: Review unpaid claims, research delays, and chase down solutions. Follow-through champion: Submit corrected claims, reconsiderations, and appeals when needed. Teamwork makes the dream work: Collaborate with insurance companies, provider reps, and your Palladian colleagues to resolve billing issues. Keep leadership in the loop: Communicate payment updates or denials that impact revenue. Account detective: Review outstanding accounts, monitor aging reports, and ensure nothing slips through the cracks. Resident-friendly: Make phone contact with residents and families regarding out-of-pocket expenses, answering questions with a smile. Train and support: Help Business Office Managers and partner with collections specialists to keep private pay accounts current. Paperwork guru: Track and review required documentation from our facilities to ensure compliance and smooth operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3–5 years’ experience with IL Medicaid preferred.
  • 1–3 years in a Skilled Nursing business office or billing office required.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team.
  • Incredible attention to detail and follow-through skills.
  • Top-notch customer service skills for phone and email communication.
  • A desire to succeed and help others succeed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MatrixCare is highly preferred
