About The Position

As an A&P Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections of maintenance, preventive maintenance or alterations as authorized in the repair station roster (14 CFR 145 Subpart A). You will also be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of the articles on which the repair station or any of its contractors perform maintenance or alterations before approving that article for return to service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or any combination of education and professional experience that would meet the responsibilities listed above.
  • Minimum 18 months experience inspecting aircraft
  • 1-2 year experience working in a PMA or FAA regulated manufacturing environment
  • Airframe & Powerplant License Required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Quality Procedures (QPs) and Local Work Instructions.
  • Able to perform tests and inspections of products, services or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
  • Provide procedural guidance to technicians and other inspectors.
  • Accomplish review of Work Order (W/O) documentation prior to Final Release of articles.
  • Research logbooks, prepare logbook entries and signoffs for approval for Return to Service (RTS).
  • May RTS any article that is maintained or altered by the facility.
  • When performing tests that involve calibrated equipment, ensure that certification stickers on the test equipment are current and tests are documented.
  • Complete Major Repair and Alterations form (FAA Form 337), when required.
  • Report conditions adversely affecting the airworthiness of an article under repair or alteration to the Chief Inspector.
  • Experience in maintaining aircraft records and maintenance in a regulated manufacturing environment and updating maintenance trackers.
  • Must be responsible for the accomplishment of assigned duties and responsibilities to support staff members and other duties as assigned.
