About The Position

As an A&P Mechanic III, you will be responsible for repairs, replacement and maintenance of the key components of aircrafts. You'll perform the necessary checks in regards to the mechanical and functional components of the aircraft, including the testing of and replacement of defective or faulty parts. You'll use a variety of tools and equipment to perform diagnosis on parts to be replaced, and ensure repairs and maintenance are compliant with national and international standards of work, all while maintaining safety and cleanliness of the hanger or workshop. You will demonstrate knowledge in one of the three main components of aviation maintenance including airframe maintenance, power plant mechanics, or Airframe & Power plant (A&P) components.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Typically 5 or more years of relevant experience.
  • 2 years' or more experience working on PW PT6-67B/P turboprop engines.
  • Must pass written, oral, and practical assessments.
  • Active, current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work locations.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Pass and maintain Class 3 Physical requirements, including a hearing test.
  • Basic understanding of applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command pandemic restriction requirements for deployed locations.
  • Ability to deploy for a minimum of 90 days to various OCONUS operating locations.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules as required.
  • Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience.
  • Able to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.
