About The Position

Simard Automotive (est. 1997) is hiring an experienced A-Level Automotive Technician / Diagnostic Technician / Automotive Mechanic for our Fairbanks location.

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Diagnostic Technician (A-Level) capable of:
Advanced electrical diagnostics
Check engine light diagnostics
Drivability troubleshooting
Engine and transmission repair
HVAC diagnostics and repair
Brake and suspension diagnostics
Using scan tools, lab scopes, OEM service data
Completing digital vehicle inspections (DVI) with clear documentation
This is not an entry-level or parts-swapping role. We are looking for a technician who tests before replacing and takes pride in zero comebacks. We prove our diagnostics

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience
• Strong diagnostic and electrical skillset
• Experience with OEM data systems (AllData, Mitchell, Identifix, etc.)
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
• High integrity and professionalism

Nice To Haves

• ASE certifications preferred (not required)
