About The Position

The A&D Inside Sales Coordinator will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and following up on leads that come into the A&D business division. This role includes generating quotes, tracking approvals, and improving the quote process while providing training to the sales team. The coordinator will also support documentation and customer portal inquiries, acting as a liaison between customers and Coherent's Sales Account Managers. Responsibilities include processing and tracking customer purchase orders using the company's ERP system, providing sales order updates, and issuing RMA documentation. The position requires proactive follow-up on job-related tasks and may involve interaction with various departments to obtain necessary information and approvals.

Requirements

  • Minimum Associate Degree; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 6-8 years of related work experience.
  • Prior customer service, order administration, and/or sales support experience in a technical environment.
  • Experience preparing or processing quotes.
  • Experience processing sales orders and RMAs.
  • Experience communicating directly with customers.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 tools.
  • Familiarity with an ERP system (IFS and/or Oracle preferred).
  • Familiarity with a CRM database system (Salesforce preferred).

  • Technical background, knowledge, or experience.
  • Sales training and onboarding experience.
  • Understanding of Defense business and ITAR.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and follow up on leads for the A&D business division.
  • Generate quotes and track approvals.
  • Improve quote processes and provide sales team training.
  • Support documentation and customer portal inquiries.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and Sales Account Managers.
  • Process and track customer purchase orders using the ERP system.
  • Provide sales order updates and issue RMA documentation.
  • Interact with Product Line Leaders, Operations, Legal, Contracts, Finance, Planning, and Production as needed.
  • Proactively follow up on job-related tasks.
  • Perform other Sales, Customer Service, and Order Management duties as required.
