Chatham Financial is excited to offer a Summer Internship opportunity that provides a unique chance to dive into the world of capital markets advisory. This 10-week program is designed for undergraduate or graduate students entering their junior or senior year, allowing interns to gain hands-on experience while making a meaningful impact within the company. Interns will integrate with Chatham's dynamic client services and engagement teams, assisting consultants with day-to-day activities and contributing to various projects that require critical thinking, problem-solving, and presentation skills. During the internship, participants will work on projects that involve interest rate and foreign currency risk advisory, valuation, reporting, analytics, structured finance, accounting, capital markets solutions, real estate investment banking, and commodities. Interns will collaborate on team-wide initiatives, such as constructing business intelligence dashboards based on client requirements, assisting in collateral management, trade loading and reporting, analyzing and manipulating data sets for client engagements, conducting market research, and preparing client presentations. Additionally, interns will partner with other interns on a summer project, receiving mentorship from subject matter experts. Past projects have included developing client business plans, researching financial risk management practices, conducting SWOT analyses of services or products, and redesigning client education materials. The internship also includes participation in weekly company meetings, team meetings, and social events designed to immerse interns in Chatham's culture and network. Interns will experience a blend of structured learning paths and hands-on apprenticeship that spans the entire summer, orienting them to Chatham and the capital markets advisory industry. This experience will help interns develop skills that are crucial for a successful career in finance, along with gaining insight into their natural abilities through mid-summer self-assessments, allowing them to leverage their strengths beyond the internship.
