About The Position

The Senior DevOps Engineer plays a crucial role in enhancing the software development life cycle by introducing effective processes, tools, and methodologies. This position involves collaboration with operational and development engineering teams to define requirements and deliver solutions that meet the operational needs of clients and internal users. The role demands strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and automation tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in automation and configuration management.
• Advanced knowledge of Azure and AWS Infrastructure including Kubernetes, Terraform, AppGW, Network Resources, Key Vaults, Azure Monitor/Log Analytics.
• Mastery with Azure, Azure ARM Templates, and Azure DevOps CI/CD methodology.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps, CI/CD, ARM Templates, and Azure Cloud IAAS and PAAS.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in test and production environments.
• Effective analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Microsoft Certification in Azure Administration and/or Azure DevOps Engineering.
• Production-level experience in Terraform.
• Expertise in cloud-based technology such as VMs, VMSS, KeyVault, Storage Accounts, Managed Instance.

Responsibilities

• Introduce processes, tools, and methodologies to balance needs throughout the software development life cycle.
• Work with operational and development engineering experts to define requirements, solutions, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with Client Services, Relationship Management, and various development and technical teams to meet operational needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Kubernetes architecture/implementation with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD.
• Provide advanced knowledge of Azure Infrastructure including VMSS, VM, AKS, AppGW, Network Resources, Key Vaults, Azure Monitor.
• Provide advanced knowledge of AWS Infrastructure including VPC, Load Balancing, ASG, Security Groups, Cloud formation, IAM Roles.
• Proficient in Automation template languages like Terraform, ARM Templates, or Cloudformation.
• Proficient in scripting languages like Unix Shell, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Go.
• Proficient in Automation tools such as Ansible or Chef.
• Master skillsets with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, Github Actions, Jenkins, Octopus.
• Enable internal functionality to ensure SLAs are met, including monitoring and alerting based on application performance.
• Engage with the DevOps and Cloud Architecture group on architecture review decisions.
• Ensure stable production and client-facing environments with a clear escalation path for solving issues.
• Enable solution architecture to meet requirements regarding cloud spend, scalability, performance, etc.
• Participate in the build-out of Azure/AWS Cloud and DevOps best practices.
• Provide on-call support for system availability.
• Utilize Agile practices to manage and deliver features.
