The 911 Telecommunicator performs protective services with frequent exposure to high-stress situations. The 911 Telecommunicator is responsible for coordinating incoming 911 communications and other activities to support public safety personnel in the interest of public safety. The position will provide backup operation for the detention facility security controls, receive emergency and non-emergency 911 calls from the public and dispatch, monitor, and respond to public safety personnel while using a significant degree of independent judgement and decision-making under the limited supervision of the 911 Communications Supervisor.
