The King County 911 Program Office has an opportunity for a 911 Technical Specialist. In this position, you will have an opportunity to utilize your technical skills in a way that makes a real difference. You will be part of a team that supports the 911 infrastructure in King County and help ensure that maintenance and configuration changes are carried out to prevent interruption to this critical service. You will work with end-users and vendors to maximize system efficiency, while providing the optimum service possible to the people of King County. Once trained, you will assist in providing 24/7 service on a rotating basis. The King County 911 Program Office supports 11 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) in King County in addition to maintaining two test environments. This position serves as an integral part of a small team of Production Engineers supporting 911 Infrastructure in King County. The 911 Technical Specialist will also work closely with vendor support on issue resolution, software upgrades, new feature implementation and testing. This position will represent King County within the PSAP community as well as with the vendors and service providers.
