About The Position

This is a working supervisor position that must be able to perform the essential functions of a Telecommunicator, the training of new telecommunicators, Computer Aided Dispatching technician, and to serve as an alternate supervisor when scheduled.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• A minimum of two years experience serving as a 911 Telecommunicator in a Public Safety Answering Point
• Must be able to type at least 30 words per minute with no more than 3 mistakes
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (Must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• CLEAN Operator Certificate (Must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• APCO Telecommunicator Training (Must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• Emergency Medical Dispatch Training (Must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• National Incident Management System (NIMS) IS 100 and IS700 (Must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• PEMA Supervisor Certification (Must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
