Overview: IMSA is committed to equity and excellence, including the active recruitment of students from all areas of Illinois. IMSA’s PROMISE Program addresses the unique challenges of culturally, linguistically, and economically diverse (CLED) students who have an interest in STEM education by providing academic enrichment programming at low to no cost. This grant-funded program is open to all students, especially Black or African American students, Latinx students, students who qualify for the national free or reduced-price meal program, as well as students from rural Illinois counties. Carbondale Innovation Hub Currently, we are seeking a Math Instructor for the Spring 2026 PROMISE Program which serves non-IMSA students currently enrolled in the 7th grade . The program will run on 8 designated Saturday sessions. In this program, candidates will work with students that have varied academic backgrounds. Program Dates and Details: Expected work hours are Saturdays 8:30AM - 12:30PM Maximum number of participants: 50, divided into two groups Session Dates: February 28 - includes parent orientation March 21 March 28 April 4 April 18 April 25 May 2 May 16 Program Schedule: Two 90 minute classes each consisting of approximately 25 students. Each class will include a 5-10 minute break for snacks Schedule: Class 1: 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM Class 2: 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
