About The Position

We are currently looking for a Shift Machine Operator-Coiler (7p-7a) to be based out of Byesville, OH. Reporting to the shift supervisor, the Machine Operator will be responsible for operating machines/set of machines, which includes set up, operation, quality and monitoring production. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing simple or routine set-ups, following processes, completion of necessary paperwork, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• The ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
• Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations
• Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization
• Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment
• Comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner
• Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift, pull or push at least 50 lbs
• Must be willing and able to work overtime

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend production Standard Work, all Safety procedures, and Maintenance instructions
• Operate and observe machinery during production
• Identify acceptable or unacceptable product quality to customer requirements and quality standards
• Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve productivity and site goals
• Monitors and maintains production and scrap rates
