Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 2+ years of experience with wire design/wire harness installation and/or equipment installation.
  • 2+ years of experience with FAA and EASA regulations/certification.

  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in the aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of FAA and EASA regulations.
  • Experience in Model-Based Definition (CATIA V5 or higher, Solidworks, Siemens, NX), ENOVIA, and PDM.
  • Experience using all the Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to quickly adapt to program tools and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of all phases of the design process, ensuring high-quality outcomes at each stage.
  • Develop and maintain organized schedules to effectively manage design timelines and deliverables.
  • Work closely with the Electrical Design team to integrate electrical components seamlessly into overall design projects.
  • Liaise with external organizations throughout the program to ensure alignment and collaboration on design initiatives.
  • Apply knowledge of certification requirements to ensure that designs meet industry standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Add appropriate regulations and means of compliance (as well as MOC discussion) with guidance from E-UM.
  • Add functional hazard/system safety statement for each system-subsystem in the cert plan.
  • Create delegation discussion for each system-subsystem in the cert plan.
  • Create deliverables that will be used in the showing of compliance, which include appropriate regulations, means of compliance, and deliverable discussion.
  • Develop schedule for CP submittal, deliverables, tests, and project closure.
