About The Position

777X Flight Controls Manager (Level K) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes, 777X organization is looking for a highly talented and motivated Flight Controls Manager (Level K) to lead a team in Everett, WA. Position Overview: The 777x program is seeking a Flight Controls manager to lead a Flight Controls team that focuses on 777X High Lift and Folding Wing Tip systems progressing rapidly toward 777-9 Amended Type Certification, the subsequent transition into production and fleet support, as well as preparing for 777-8F Amended Type Certification. The position will focus heavily on System Safety Analyses, Development Assurance, flight test problem resolution, and lab test. This role requires technical knowledge of the Flight Control system and strong leadership capabilities to manage critical work statement within the team. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 2+ years of experience leading a project or a team

Responsibilities

  • Managing team priorities, work statement, and budget allocation
  • Oversight of technical decision-making and engineering quality
  • Reporting and elevating status to senior leadership
  • Direct coordination with Suppliers and/or Customers
  • Performance management and mentorship of an engineering team
  • Cross-functional coordination with other organizations such as Avionics, Crew Ops, Airplane Safety, Aero, System Stress, Production Engineering, and/or Supply Chain
