About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Front Line Leader (Level K) to join our 737 Renton Lab and Receiving Supplier Quality Team in Renton, WA on 2nd Shift. We are looking for energetic and proactive Front-Line leader to join our team. This role demands a critical thinker with strong business acumen to lead a team of technicians and inspectors. The individual should possess the ability to work well across diverse groups and effectively collaborate across organizational boundaries. The candidate will exhibit resilience and tenacity in implementing improvements in an established and regulated production and quality system.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or related experience in a regulated industry.
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role (this includes managing team assignments, tracking status, and developing a team’s talent)
  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and implement plans, schedules, or solutions
  • 3+ years of experience reporting performance metrics

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or experience in related field
  • Familiarity with the Boeing quality management system, quality handbook, AS9100
  • Experience using various problem-solving methods and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate conflicts and build partnerships with suppliers, teams, and internal stakeholders

  • Coordinate and guide our teammates performing Supplemental Information Memo (SIM) and Reinspection process through the component lab MRSA
  • Drive RCCA for high impact defects to production via lab testing capability
  • Engage design engineering to swiftly address impacts to delivery
  • Align testing process and tooling with vendors to have commonality on results

Responsibilities

  • Leads and manages employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance.
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System, empowering team members to understand and uphold quality standards
  • May make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies
  • Acquire and manage resources efficiently, leading initiatives that drive process improvements and optimize performance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers, and direct reports to foster collaboration and success
  • Inspire, develop, and motivate employees, cultivating a high-performance culture that embraces change and encourages professional growth
