About The Position

B3H Corporation is seeking highly experienced Air Operations Center (AOC) and Air Force Forces (AFFOR) subject matter expertise to provide instruction, course execution, and course development support to the 705 TRS for government-led maintenance and execution of the Air Force Forces (AFFOR) Intermediate Staff Course (AISC). The AISC trains Air Force Component Headquarters (AFCHQ) AFFOR staff personnel in conducting and supporting operational-level planning and execution. The course educates and develops the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to execute air component headquarters staff responsibilities on behalf of the Commander Air Force Forces (COMAFFOR) as part of the AFCHQ in support of Combined Forces Commander (CFC) objectives. Position is located at Hurlburt Field, FL. This Position is Contingent Upon Award B3H is a leader in building winning DoD and corporate teams. B3H provides the full spectrum of strategic planning, program management, acquisitions management, systems engineering & integration, cost analysis, training, systems requirements analysis, and instructional system design for the DoD. B3H delivers quality performance with complete government visibility and control. B3H Corporate headquarters are in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from a regionally accredited University or College.
  • Attend and successfully complete Government-provided instructor certification requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience and personal expertise in either the deliberate planning process or Crisis Action Planning (CAP) areas of: A2 (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) or A3 (Operations) or A4 (Logistics) or A5 (Plans and Requirements) or A6 (Communications).
  • Proficient with multimedia operations required for instructional briefings, presentations, and exercise activities.
  • Proficient with using Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Current DoD Security Clearance Required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and/or coordinate all academic instruction as directed by the Course Director, Course Manager, and course syllabus, including lectures, practical exercises, small group events and guided discussions.
  • Assist with the instruction of the AISC 5-day course, consisting of 25-30 hours of academic instruction, 8-10 hours of practicum exercises, and student processing time.
  • Support a maximum of 15 courses annually with up to one-third of the classes taking place at Hurlburt Field, FL and the rest of the classes at off-site locations.
  • Prepare classrooms for instruction.
  • Operate academic equipment (i.e., projectors, televisions, computer learning stations, etc.).
  • Issue required student courseware (Student Guides, handouts, approved changes, etc.) required for course attendance to include maintaining student folders as required.
  • Ensure course materials are current prior to each instruction event.
  • Provide a scheduled review period to go over desired learning objectives and answer questions in preparation for student academic examinations/practical exercises.
  • Administer and score examinations.
  • Assist students in correcting wrong answers to 100 percent for each student after they pass the exam ensuring the student comprehends the correct answer.
  • Provide counseling and remedial academic training to students upon failure of an academic examination or evaluation.
  • Remediation shall be scheduled by the course manager and coordinated with the training flight.
  • Retest students IAW the syllabus.
  • Document all test failures and submit any requested information for inclusion in the course execution after action report.
  • Provide make-up instruction and remedial academic training for students who have missed class for operational and approved personal reasons.
  • Ensure instructors maintain current reference material.
  • Participate with student counseling and administrative review boards, as directed by the Government.
  • Develop, review, and respond to end-of-phase and end-of-course critiques of academic instruction.
  • Coordinate all critiques IAW the governing syllabus.
  • Coordinate all student comments and courseware corrections, to include errata sheets, with the Government prior to use in the classroom.
  • Provide completed critiques/student's comments to the course manager for review.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive graduate evaluation plan used to determine academic instruction effectiveness, based on students feedback gained during practical field Falconer experience.
  • Assist with maintaining continuity folders, reference material, audiovisual library, films, tapes and lesson courseware.
  • On a not-to-interfere basis with course execution schedules, provide air component-related expertise for exercise support.
