About The Position

The Experienced Loss Prevention Detective at Marshalls is responsible for observing, apprehending, and deterring acts of dishonesty within the store. This role involves participating in investigations and surveillance, ensuring that apprehensions align with theft activity, and maintaining evidence in accordance with law enforcement procedures. The detective will also coordinate shrink-related activities with store management and promote safety awareness among associates.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of retail or security experience.

Responsibilities

• Observe, apprehend, and deter acts of dishonesty from outside sources.
• Participate in investigations and surveillance as assigned.
• Ensure apprehensions are consistent with store theft activity.
• Complete and distribute paperwork accurately and timely.
• Maintain appropriate evidence and demonstrate understanding of law enforcement procedures.
• Coordinate and complete shrink-related activities in partnership with Store Management.
• Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Encourage Associate use of shrink reduction resources.
• Promote safety awareness and support maintenance of a safe environment.
