6th Grade Language Arts Teacher
About The Position
This is a 1.0 FTE position as a 6th Grade Language Arts teacher at Sunnyside Intermediate School for the 2025-2026 school year. Start date is January 5, 2026. Sunnyside is a 5th and 6th-grade school requiring an elementary teaching license or a license in Language Arts covering grades 5 and 6. Sunnyside is an intermediate school with an intentional elementary feel to it. Candidates with the prerequisite Language Arts skills and who hold a Bachelor's degree will also be considered via alternative licensure. Sunnyside is located in the heart of the city of Lafayette, just one hour north of downtown Indianapolis and two hours south of downtown Chicago along I-65 in west central Indiana. Lafayette is a growing city with a strong economic base and the LSC is growing along with it. The Greater Lafayette Area is the home of Purdue University and the presence of the university helps to make Lafayette one of the greatest places to live in the Midwest.
Requirements
