About The Position
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, the 6th Grade English Language Arts Teacher is responsible for developing students' skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The teacher will foster communication skills, develop an understanding and appreciation of literature, motivate students to read a wide variety of publications, comprehend reading materials, and promote the development of skills in grammar and syntax. The position involves creating a safe and conducive classroom environment for individualized and small group instruction, developing lesson plans, and conducting assessments to fit individual student needs.
