About The Position

CareGivers in Schenectady NY is looking for a dependable and caring Personal Care Aide (PCA) who is certified as a PCA, HHA, or CNA, or has caregiving experience. The position offers flexibility with available shifts from 6pm-8pm (or 7pm-9pm) on weekdays. The job involves providing personal care, meal preparation, and ensuring clients follow their medication schedules. Reliable transportation is required to get to work independently.

Requirements

• Must be a certified PCA, HHA, or CNA.
• At least 3 months of previous caregiving experience in the last three years is preferred.
• Must be caring, dependable, and meet health requirements.
• Reliable transportation is required (own car, reliable driver, or ridesharing).
• Must be 18 years or older.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in caregiving or related fields.
• Willingness to transition from CNA to HHA through a free one-day class.
• Qualified nursing students can work as HHAs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to clients to ensure they feel clean and refreshed.
• Prepare meals and learn new recipes.
• Tidy the client's home to maintain a healthy environment.
• Ensure clients follow their medication schedules.
• Provide additional care as needed to keep clients safe.
