A General Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of buildings, ensuring that buildings are closed securely, and reporting any issues or complaints to the Supervisor and/or Route Manager.
Responsibilities
Clean buildings by emptying trash, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning surfaces as assigned.
Monitor building's security and safety by locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
Properly use cleaning solutions and chemicals to remove stains and clean surfaces.
Use approved cleaning solutions with proper PPE as required and must follow SDS.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using proper cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean.
Clean and service restrooms with mops and proper disinfectants.
Arrive on time for the shift as scheduled and complete all work in the allotted time.
Identify and report needed repairs on equipment to ensure they are well-maintained.
Cross-train on other duties or areas as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements
Ability to follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals properly.
Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Good communication skills to report issues to supervisors.
