The Machine Operator II (Paperline) is responsible for the operation, setup, and adjustment of production equipment as required. This role involves assisting setups, tool room, and maintenance with debugging of equipment and tooling. The operator monitors equipment and notifies supervision or setups in cases of machine or tooling malfunctions that cannot be corrected. Additionally, the operator inspects parts to assure conformance to specifications and services equipment as required, including adding grease, lubricant, and coolant when necessary. The operator is also responsible for approving inspection reports and meeting established production standards. Completing paperwork as required, including production, productivity, inspection, downtime, and SPC charts is part of the job. The operator trains employees new to the position or area as required and keeps the area clean, orderly, and free of obstruction. Observing safety rules at all times and immediately reporting unsafe conditions to department supervision is crucial. The operator is responsible for the quality and safety of their own work and compliance with all company procedures and policies.
