Waynflete seeks an inventive and engaging Science teacher to begin in August for the 2026–2027 school year. Responsibilities will include teaching science in the Upper School, advising, overseeing co-curricular activities and/or coaching. The position requires specific knowledge of Chemistry. The ability to teach other science classes, such as Biology, Physics, or Environmental Science would be an asset, but the job is primarily for a Chemistry teacher. Experience with and/or interest in Science Olympiad is a plus as well. Experience with chemical safety and storage is preferred as responsibility for this will likely stay with this faculty member. We seek applicants who are passionate about science, use innovative teaching practices, and engage with students and colleagues in a collaborative spirit. Experience teaching Chemistry and/or a masters degree or higher in a relevant field is preferred. With an institutional commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion, Waynflete seeks candidates who are committed to developing inclusive methods in their teaching, teamwork, and leadership. We believe that all students benefit from more inclusive environments. Taking inspiration from our mission, we seek qualified faculty and staff with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to enhance the student experience and strengthen our community. To apply, please click below and upload a resume and cover letter. If available, letters of recommendation and unofficial transcripts are also appreciated. Applications will be reviewed immediately and the position will remain open until filled. No phone calls, please.
