Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in engineering or related environmental field.
  • Professional Engineer license or able to acquire within one year of hire.
  • 6 to 10 years minimum in a related field.
  • Solid waste management experience.
  • Biogas system design experience.
  • Remediation experience.
  • Site Civil experience.
  • GCCS experience.
  • Regulatory experience required, general Florida, South U.S.A. experience a plus.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral.
  • Solid organization and time management skills.
  • Self-disciplined/motivated individual who also works well in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with computer usage for document preparation including Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of computer-aided design software; Civil 3D preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Solid Waste permitting experience is preferred.
  • Established client relationships are a plus.
  • Project management experience a plus, including budgets and invoicing.

Responsibilities

  • Interpretation of federal, state and local agency regulations.
  • Analysis, oversight and review of project work products, including site specific technical data, calculations, technical reports, construction plans, cost estimates, environmental permit applications and permit terms and conditions.
  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and help direct work for multi-project clients, and multiple clients.
  • Help support strategic initiatives for continued work with key clients and business sectors.
  • Support the work of others and maintain quality control on projects and on administrative tasks.
  • Work independently to perform project tasks, design, calculations, and reporting to meet the project specific requirements.
  • Be a point of contact for clients and maintain a positive relationship with clients.
  • Manage multiple smaller company priorities and projects.
  • Work at landfills, contaminated sites, and/or other sites where heavy equipment, contamination, or other health hazards may exist.
  • Assist with proposals, including the development of technical plans, schedules, and cost estimates, and preparation with staff and with the client.
