About The Position

We have an opening for a 2nd shift Sanitation Laborer. The position involves following established procedures for the cleaning, rinsing, foaming, steaming, and sanitizing of equipment, containers, and the facility. These procedures are documented in the Sanitation Standards of Operations Procedure book and kept in the supervisor’s office.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Must be properly trained to handle chemicals.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning work area as assigned by the sanitation crew chief or supervisor.
• Follows established procedures for cleaning, rinsing, foaming, steaming, and sanitizing of equipment, containers, and the facility.
• Disposes of garbage with forklift and maintains drains and floor ways clear.
• Operates production equipment correctly to facilitate proper cleaning.
• Follows safety procedures to ensure the safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Measures and mixes chemicals per established procedures.
• Records work performed on Sanitation Schedule at end of each workday.
• Maintains dumpster area in clean and orderly condition.
• Follows safety rules and company policies.
• Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc. as appropriate.
• Receives written and verbal instructions on job tasks and performs other duties as directed by Supervisor or crew chief.
