About the position

The Lecturer in Mathematics position at Southern Methodist University is a non-tenure-track, full-time role focused on teaching undergraduate mathematics courses. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to education and will have a teaching load of seven courses per academic year, spanning both the Fall and Spring semesters. The position is set to begin in the Fall semester of 2025, and candidates with a Ph.D. in mathematics or a related field are preferred, although exceptional candidates with an M.S. will also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Teach seven undergraduate mathematics courses per academic year during Fall and Spring semesters.

  • Participate in departmental meetings and activities.

Requirements
