About The Position

The 513th Electronic Warfare Mission Data Engineer position at New Directions Technologies involves supporting the US Reprogramming Lab (USRL) and the 513th Electronic Warfare Squadron at Eglin AFB, Florida. The role focuses on developing, testing, and producing combat credible Mission Data (MD) for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, enhancing its survivability in combat against enemy threat systems in the Electro-Magnetic spectrum.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or STEM discipline with eight (8) years of relevant experience.
  • Electrical Engineering degree is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; Active Secret clearance is highly desirable.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience programming Mission Data for 4th/5th generation fighter aircraft.
  • Experience with software applications to program and produce Mission Data.
  • Experience with V&V test plans and directing Mission Data testing in a Lab setting.
  • Proficient working knowledge of CED, EWIRDB, NGES, SPECTRE & MATLAB.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Electronic Warfare fundamentals and threat radar systems/parametrics.
  • Familiarity with F-35 avionics and AESA generation radars.

Responsibilities

  • Develop state-of-the-art Mission Data (MD) for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.
  • Conduct MD Validation & Verification (V&V) and Operational MD Assessment/Development/Testing.
  • Perform intelligence research and analysis to create complex MD files for the F-35 Electronic Warfare suite.
  • Design and develop complex Electronic Warfare (EW) models, programs, and automation tools to improve MD Lab testing and analysis efficiency.
  • Advise on RF components, characteristics, and antenna performance parameters to optimize MD programming efforts.
  • Communicate detailed feedback from V&V analysis to support MD production and configuration management.
