About The Position

PSEG is seeking an Intern for the Digital Products and Services team. This entry-level role offers interns the opportunity to engage in meaningful projects within the Information Technology organization, preparing them for advanced positions in IT. Interns will work on digital middleware technologies, particularly using MuleSoft, and will report directly to the Group Product Manager. The position is primarily remote but requires some in-person interaction.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, graduating between December 2025 and May 2028.
• Strong technical proficiency in IT/Computer Science or related field.
• Programming experience in REST APIs, Java, Postman, SQL.
• Self-starter with the ability to learn new technical concepts quickly.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle including prototyping, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Design and develop APIs/Microservices using API Led Architecture on the MuleSoft platform.
• Ensure that all code is thoroughly unit-tested prior to delivery.
• Perform code reviews and other quality checks as requested.
• Conduct API testing with tools like Postman.
• Build dashboards/reports for the MuleSoft platform showing usage, consumption, and other KPIs.
• Develop and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and proactive communications for customer applications.
